After a busy day of teaching, I'm back on Mom duty and need to become a creative chef. I have a family of 6 and feeding them daily is always a challenge. Susie Homemaker I am not, but I can perform miracles with a microwave. No seriously, I can!!!
I do cook and for the most part the meals I make are delicious. I enjoy making new recipes and trying to find "the one" the fits into our regular meal plans. I tend to create meals that are family and budget friendly. I will be posting both new recipes and family favorites.
I hope you are able to find something that strikes your fancy! :)
GROOVY SMOOTHIE RECIPE
Every morning I start my day with a smoothie thats jam packed with nutrients. I allow 1 hour for digestion and then start my morning workout routine. Check out the recipes below:
BANANA BERRY FITNESS SMOOTHIE
1 CUP frozen strawberries
1/2 banana
1/4 CUP mixed berries or tropic fruit mix
1 Serving Vanilla Protein Powder
1 Serving Powdered Greens
1 TBSP Ground Flax Seeds
1 TBSP Chai Seeds
1 CUP Vanilla Soy Milk
Put in a blender in this order and blend. No ICE needed! The frozen fruit acts as the ice, so the smoothie doesn't get watered down. I find the frozen fruit at Costco, but it can be found at any grocery outlet. :)
Enjoy
